This award gives the trainee an understanding of the application of the IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition. It provides a facility for individuals working in the electrotechnical sector to develop and/or enhance their knowledge of the requirements for electrical installation.

How is this qualification delivered?
The qualification covers the full content of IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 Edition. The Regulations apply to the design, erection and verification of electrical installations, and also additions and alterations to existing installations.
How is this qualification assessed?
The trainee will be assessed against this qualification by one, 60 question on-screen multiple-choice exam. Grading for this qualification: Pass/Fail.
At the end of this course, candidates will complete a 2-hour online assessment in the format of multiple-choice questions.
Focused on the Wiring Regulations Standard BS7671:2018+A2:2022
Classroom-based training, no practical training is involved.
Trainees must be at least 16 years old. There are no formal entry requirements for the qualifications. However, trainees must have the potential to achieve all aspects of the qualification. In particular, trainees should be able to demonstrate that they have the minimum levels of literacy and numeracy required for the completion of the learning outcomes and the assessment.
Upon successful completion, the Candidate will receive a Certificate of Competence from City & Guild or EAL.
